Jennifer Hudson to Sing Surprise Duet at Grammy Party

Following her rousing Super Bowl comeback appearance last Sunday, Jennifer Hudson is set to perform a "surprise duet" at a Grammy party honoring music exec Clive Davis this Saturday in Los Angeles.

"Very touchingly, [Hudson] called me when she read of my lifetime achievement award, [and said] that she wanted to be part of it, that she wanted to come back with her musical life, so, of course, that is touching," Davis tells the Associated Press.

Davis added that Hudson, 27, will also be performing a surprise duet "that people won't see elsewhere."

Jonas Brothers Promise Surprises on Grammy Night

First-time Grammy nominees the Jonas Brothers say they are each a bundle of nerves about Sunday's big show – but are concentrating on singing, not winning.

"I'm beyond nervous. I'm not even going to hide it at all," Kevin Jonas, 21 tells PEOPLE. "We're going to focus on the performance. That's what we do best and that's what we'll put our minds on."

The brothers, who are nominated for best new artist, spoke to PEOPLE during a break from filming their upcoming Disney Channel series, JONAS. They are slated to perform during the Grammy primetime telecast – but are keeping mum about what they'll be singing.

Pregnant M.I.A. to Rap at Grammys – On Her Due Date

Rapper M.I.A. had better add one more person to her Grammy entourage – a doctor.

The pregnant hip-hop star, who is nominated for two awards, is scheduled to perform at the ceremony Sunday, which is also her due date.

"They say that you're often late the first time, so I'm planning to go," the mom-to-be, 31, who is engaged to musician Benjamin Brewer, tells USA Today. "We'll see. People are trying to get me to relax and focus on the baby. It's like being in parallel universes."

Grammy gets its party on this week with Jennifer Hudson performances, a rap Dream Team of T.I., Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z rockin' the mic, plus teen queens Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift on the same stage.

Throw in the bashes with Katy Perry, the Jonas Brothers, Akon and Rihanna, and the celebration of pop, rock, hip-hop and country will spill far off the Staples Center stage. PEOPLE has all the details:

After Sunday's awards telecast on CBS, nominees the Jonas Brothers and Coldplay will stop by the showpiece party of the night – the Woodstock-themed Grammy Celebration at the L.A. Convention Center, where Wolfgang Puck serves Shanghai lobster and red velvet cupcakes while Robin Thicke, The Time, and DJ Mick Boogie perform. At the bar? Patron and Ultimate Vodka.

As if the Grammy Awards didn't have enough celebs already lined up, they've gone ahead and added another constellation's worth of stars.

A special performance with Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus headlines the latest announcement of performers for the Feb. 8 Grammys. Kanye West and Estelle will also perform together, while nominees Adele, Chris Brown and Sugarland are also scheduled to sing onstage, the Recording Academy said Tuesday.

More celebs have been confirmed for an already star-studded 2009 Grammy Awards.

U2, Rihanna, Kid Rock, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are among the stars scheduled to rock the stage at the Feb. 8 show, joining previously announced Grammy-bound performers like Justin Timberlake and Paul McCartney, the Recording Academy said Thursday.

Also added to the lineup: Gwyneth Paltrow, Duffy and Josh Groban, who will hand out trophies. (It'll be couples night for Paltrow; her husband Chris Martin will be playing with his band, Coldplay.)

The high-wattage lineup for the 2009 Grammy Awards continues to brighten.

Paul McCartney and Justin Timberlake are now scheduled to perform at the Feb. 8 show – not to mention a few surprises.

Timberlake will perform with rapper T.I., while McCartney will team with Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl. Also, Radiohead will be making its first live TV performance in nearly nine years.

After dropping out of the public eye following her family murder tragedy, Jennifer Hudson now has the strength and the will to give three high-profile performances next month, a source close to her tells PEOPLE.

"So much has happened, but she's ready," the source says. "It's a new year, she's excited about performing again. She knew it was time."

Hudson, 27, will deliver the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on Feb. 1, then sing at the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala Feb. 6 and at the Grammys two days later.

The performances will be the first since her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in the fall. Her estranged brother-in-law has pleaded innocent to the killings.

Jennifer Hudson to Perform at the Grammys

Jennifer Hudson is slowly returning to public life after her mother, brother and nephew were killed in October: The 27-year-old singer, who is nominated for three Grammy awards, will perform at the awards show next month, it was announced Monday.

Hudson is nominated for best R&B album for her self-titled album, best female R&B vocal performance, and best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for her duet with Fantasia, "I'm His Only Woman."

A week before the Grammys, on Feb. 1., Hudson will perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl.

The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m. on CBS.

From a same-sex kissing pop tart to a Caribbean-loving country star, this year's Grammy performers will be an eclectic bunch.

Nominees Katy Perry, Kenny Chesney, Coldplay, Lil Wayne – who is up for eight awards – and the Jonas Brothers will take the stage at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 8.

"As an artist and a songwriter ... you always dream about being nominated for a Grammy," Nick Jonas said of being nominated with his brothers in the best new artist category. "And if we do win – wow, that would be amazing."

CBS will broadcast the ceremony live from Los Angeles's Staples Center on Feb. 8.
