Ryan Seacrest: I Didn't Know What Sacha Baron Cohen Had Planned
Originally posted 02/27/2012 11:20AM
It was the question of the night on the Oscars red carpet: Did Ryan Seacrest have any idea what was coming when he interviewed Sacha Baron Cohen's alter-ego, The Dictator?
"I was surprised, but not surprised," Seacrest said during his radio show Monday morning. And while he wasn't expecting the interview to be without drama or incident, "I definitely did not know he was going to do that."
"That," of course, would be The Dictator dumping the contents of an urn – that supposedly contained the ashes of the late North Korean leader Kim Jong-il – all over the tuxedo-clad E! host.
After agreeing to do the interview, "in the back of my head I'm thinking, this guy isn't coming as The Dictator to not do something. To what extent, I don't know." But as their chat progressed, Seacrest began to feel a sense of unease.

All About Uggie's Custom Chopard Collar
Originally posted 02/27/2012 11:05AM
He might have been one-tenth the size of all the other Oscar guests, but it was hard not to miss Uggie at Sunday night's 84th annual Academy Awards.
When he walked onto the stage to help accept the Best Picture award for The Artist, the adorable Jack Russell terrier wore an eye-catching collar custom-designed for him by Chopard.
The collar features a black satin bow tie and a charm made of 18 karat yellow gold inscribed with his name. The piece will be auctioned, and the proceeds will benefit The Amanda Foundation, an animal rescue organization.

Meryl Streep Celebrates Her Oscar Win – with a Burger
Originally posted 02/27/2012 10:45AM
How do you follow up a Best Actress Oscar win?
For Meryl Streep, it seems a burger will do! The actress (who won for her starring role in The Iron Lady) indulged at the Weinstein afterparty at the Mondrian Hotel, ordering Fatburger, which was being served at the bash.
Earlier in Hollywood, the stars came out for Elton John's 20th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party – and were captivated by Streep's shocked reaction to her win (along with Octavia Spencer's emotional victory and Christopher Plummer's charming speech).
As for the host of the evening, John told PEOPLE that his party serves as a fabulous meet and greet and a chance to watch the Oscars in star company. "At the end of the day, you come away with such happy memories," he said. "I've never met Katy Perry – she's at my table tonight."
Jimmy Kimmel Packs Oscar Winners into Hilarious Movie: The Movie Trailer
Originally posted 02/27/2012 06:15AM
Oscar night celebrated some of the best movies of the past year. But are you ready for the greatest film ever made?
Jimmy Kimmel put together this amusing teaser for Movie: The Movie – his tongue-in-cheek attempt at making the most star-studded, spectacular film America has ever seen. Or at least, the trailer for it.
The stars are almost too numerous to count – Best Actress winner Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Charlize Theron, Matt Damon, Cameron Diaz, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Colin Farrell and the list goes on and on, while the plot is too hilariously clichéd to be believed.

Jennifer Lopez's Stylist Defends Her Oscar Dress: There Was No 'Slip'
Originally posted 02/27/2012 01:15AM
Oscar watchers, take note: Jennifer Lopez did not have a wardrobe malfunction, despite buzz she showed a little too much skin while presenting at Sunday night's 84th annual Academy Awards.
Her stylist, Mariel Haenn, tells PEOPLE that Lopez's custom Zuhair Murad gown featured special built-in cups that prevented any "slips" when she took the stage at the Hollywood and Highland Center with Cameron Diaz to honor the best in costume design and makeup.
"The dress fit perfectly to every inch," she tells PEOPLE in a statement. "While the dress did give the illusion of sheer-ness, joke's on everyone who wishes they saw something!"

PEOPLE Review: Oscars Like Old Times – for Good and Bad
Originally posted 02/27/2012 01:00AM
Considering that last year's Oscars were so thumpingly bad – co-host James Franco behaved as if he'd been taken out of the freezer, left on the counter and unevenly thawed – last night's broadcast was a welcome relief.
The strength of the show ultimately rests on the heat of the biggest contests – I doubt Americans were on the edge of their seats wondering whether the cosmically inscrutable Tree of Life could score an upset over the French silent The Artist – but the production looked great and flowed well.
Billy Crystal was hosting for his ninth time, brought on after Eddie Murphy dropped out in November, and it felt no different from his seventh, eighth or (if one were to project) fifty-seventh time.
