They say Hollywood is the fast lane. But usually not this fast.

This time-lapse video of red-carpet arrivals at Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards shows the speediest parade of stars you'll see at an award show this season – with the actors and actresses delivering their poses and soundbites in record time.

Expect things to move quite a bit slower at the Academy Awards on Feb. 27.

He may not have taken home a Screen Actors Guild Award Sunday night – he and his fellow Social Network actors were up for outstanding ensemble cast – but Justin Timberlake still has cause for major celebration on Monday: It's his 30th birthday.

Shedding mock tears as he broke the news of his birthday to E! on the SAG red carpet, Timberlake then conceded, "It's great, I'm excited." He also said he planned to work on his big day.

As for celebratory plans, "Maybe I'll have a little glass of wine," he said, "or some whiskey."

Black Swan's Natalie Portman and The King's Speech's Colin Firth, along with The Fighter's Melissa Leo and Christian Bale, might just as well clear their mantels.

They all took home Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night, a reliable prognosticator of the Feb. 27 Oscars.

Among those she thanked, Portman singled out her parents, "who taught me to work the hardest and never to be an a--hole, that wasn't acceptable."

The Screen Actors Guild honored Ernest Borgnine with its Life Achievement Award – and he honored the acting profession right back.

"There are millions of those around the world who would love to be in our shoes," Borgnine, 94, told the crowd in L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium, after Morgan Freeman presented him his award.

Calling acting a "privilege," Borgnine added, "I hope we will never let our dedication to our craft fail, and we will always give our best to our profession."

Why Nicole Kidman Kept Baby Faith a Secret

Originally posted 01/30/2011 07:55PM

Now that the world knows, Nicole Kidman says keeping quiet about her new daughter Faith Margaret was one of the toughest things she's ever had to do.

"I wanted to be able to tell everybody because I was so excited about her," Kidman told Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Why keep it a secret?

"We just decided this was our thing together," Kidman, 43, said of keeping the news quiet with hubby Keith Urban. "It kind of just perpetuated itself."

Now in her third trimester, Jane Krakowski finally feels part of the "in" crowd.

"I've never been so on trend in my entire life," the pregnant 30 Rock star, 42, told E!'s Guiliana Rancic on the red carpet of Sunday's 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, after being told "baby bumps are the new black."

The actress, who's due in late April, sheathed her bump in Badgley Mischka. The baby's dad is Krakowski's fiancé, designer Robert Godley.

At Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards, Modern Family fans will have their eyes on breakout star Jesse Tyler Ferguson – and his hot date, lawyer Justin Mikita. (Once they stop gawking at Sofia Vergara, of course!)

The new couple have been hitting the awards show circuit – and the town – together as of late, and releasing a steady stream of smitten photos via Twitter.

The actor, 35, brought Mikita, 25, to an Elle Women in TV event Thursday night and then to Entertainment Weekly's bash at the Chateau Marmont Saturday night, where they hung out together outside for 15 minutes before joining the party.

Awards season officially kicked into high gear Thursday morning, with the announcement of the nominations for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards – roundly considered the strongest prognosticators of the performance Oscars.

Among the top SAG contenders are cast members of The Fighter – though leading man Mark Wahlberg didn't make the cut, while supporting players Christian Bale, Melissa Leo and Amy Adams did – and The King's Speech, Black Swan and The Kids Are All Right (minus Julianne Moore).

In the TV categories, such stalwarts as 30 Rock and Mad Men, along with their stars and featured actors, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, and Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss, were recognized, as were cast members from the newcomers Modern Family and Boardwalk Empire.
