The 84-year-old Best Supporting Actress nominee for Nebraska waited 60 years to become a film star, honing her craft in plays and musicals before being hired for Woody Allen's Alice. "If I had become a film actress when I was very, very young, I would not have had the opportunity to do all these things that I did," she told The Huffington Post. "I just love the fact that I did them." The roles also instilled in her a very useful quality: confidence. As Squibb explained to CBS News, "I don't doubt myself when it comes to work."
