To stay hydrated while exercising outdoors this summer, just follow the doctor's orders. Former Bachelor star Travis Stork, who stars in the syndicated series The Doctors, advises not waiting until you're thirsty. "By that time, you are likely already mildly dehydrated," he explains. Beat the heat by snacking on fruits and vegetables with high water content – including cantaloupe, watermelon, citrus fruits, carrots and tomatoes. And if drinking water by itself isn't appealing, "add slices of lemon, orange, lime or cucumber," Stork recommends. "It's a great way to enhance the taste without adding artificial flavors, colors and sugars." – Cynthia Wang
