After reading Kathy Freston's book Quantum Wellness, Oprah Winfrey took on the author's 21-day cleanse, which meant no alcohol, sugar, caffeine, meat or gluten. (You can follow Oprah's progress on her blog.) If that sounds extreme, Freston suggests smaller steps, such as going meatless once a week.
