Sarah Michelle Gellar picked up a People's Choice Award for favorite actress in a new TV series for The Crazy Ones Wednesday night. She used the opportunity to thank the cast and crew of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, because she is a class act.

It being Throwback Thursday (#TBT) and all, we decided to take a look back at one of the first awards Gellar ever won for Buffy, the 1999 Teen Choice Award for choice actress on television. (She would win again in 2000, 2002 and 2003.)

The 1999 ceremony was actually the first-ever installment of the Teen Choice Awards, and this clip features an embarrassment of #TBT riches. First of all, Gellar was nominated alongside Katie Holmes (for Dawson's Creek), Jennifer Love Hewitt (for Party of Five) and Keri Russell (for Felicity). (This was just one year after Hewitt and Gellar shared a larger screen in I Know What You Did Last Summer.)

It's worth it all to hear the Buffy theme again, if only for a brief, shining moment.
