And that's what they got: The pizza host Ellen DeGeneres had delivered came via Big Mama's and Papa's Pizzeria, a local franchise that claims to have "the world's largest pizza." It was delivered by a real-life employee, not an actor.
"Ellen's talk show has picked up quite a few pizzas from us," one of the eatery's employees told ABC News. "They had us make a giant pizza before for one of her shows." (Big Mama's and Papa's has a three-and-a-half star rating on Yelp, in case you were wondering.)
The giant pizza in question is the restaurant's 54-inch "Giant Sicilian," a Guinness World Record holder for "Largest Deliverable Pizza." It serves 50-70 people, or approximately one Man Vs. Food host.
The company is currently launching a campaign to become "the official pizza of the Oscars," which – while we did not know that was a thing – we support.
