In her breakout single “Royals,” Lorde sings about gold teeth, Grey Goose, trippin’ in the bathroom, blood stains, ball gowns and trashin’ the hotel room, among other things.

In conclusion: These are not the first thoughts that come to mind when we think of the Royal Family.

But if the likes of Prince William, Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Prince Harry formed a cover band and took on Lorde, well, we know that power group would win it all at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, where the song is up for record of the year, song of the year and best pop solo performance. (Lorde, 17, is also nominated for best pop vocal album.)

Until then, we’ll just let the real royals take the mic.
