Rosita Dolores Alveréo flirted with Jeremy Renner and Brad Pitt from the stage as she accepted her SAG Life Achievement Award Saturday night, but she also held the entire audience in her thrall.

Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner Alveréo – known to the world as Rita Moreno – gloriously proved once again she could hold a room in the palm of her hand.

After her introduction by her one-time The Electric Company costar Morgan Freeman, and a mini-biography that included her shocked surprise – and very brief speech – at winning her Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for 1961’s West Side Story, Moreno slowly made her way to the stage from her table, where her dinner companion was her fellow West Side Story Oscar-winner, George Chakiris.

En route, she had some kissing to do: Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.

As lovely Rita, 82, in a striking Herve Leger biker jacket, said on stage – after she had let loose the F-bomb – she has only begun Act III of her life. Not a bad start.
