If Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln ever heads to Broadway as a musical, it will have no trouble finding its leading man.
In a comical bit of Oscars mischief, Hugh Jackman showed up to The Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday dressed as the 16th president and proceeded to sing the opening line of the Gettysburg Address – to prove that he, and not Daniel Day-Lewis, deserves the Oscar for Best Actor.
“The truth is, I wanted to sway a few last-minute Oscar voters. I’ll be honest. I mean, really, can Daniel Day-Lewis do this?” Jackman said before breaking into song.
