Julianne Hough was buggin' out at Sunday's Golden Globes – the actress's accessories were made from real insects!
The Rock of Ages star accessorized her stunning Monique Lhuillier gown with baubles fashioned from actual beetles and a praying mantis-like insect.
"We created this with [jewelry designer] Daniela Villegas," Hough told E! News, pointing to her deep red earrings, which were paired with a sparkly cuff on her right ear. "It's an actual pair of beetle and actual stick bugs."
Villegas's Facebook page – which features lots of designs inspired by insects – says the one-of-a-kind cuff is named for Julianne and features a stick insect/traveller stud.
It sounds like Hough was determined to rock the red carpet this year with her unique accessories. "We decided to go a little bit more edgy with this Ferragamo bag and the nails," she told Giuliana Rancic before the show.
