Adele's song lyrics are anything but crude – but when she steps away from the microphone, her conversations aren't as eloquent as her award-winning tunes.
"I love to swear," the singer, 23, tells Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes airing Sunday.
This factor, she says, was one of her most difficult issues when she couldn't speak for about two months after her November throat surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord.
"It was very hard," she explained, adding that she was only able to communicate with notepads and a special phone application that spoke her words. "I love to talk."
"In most of the [applications], you can't swear in them," she says. "But I found this one you can swear with. So [I was] still really getting my point across."
