James Franco Gets R-Rated Oscar-Host Advice from Judd Apatow

02/18/2011 AT 10:40 AM EST

Cutting off your arm is one thing, hosting the Oscars is quite another.

Yale student and 127 Hours star James Franco, who happens to be both an Oscar nominee and co-host of the Feb. 27 main event (with Anne Hathaway) tracked down Producers Guild Award host and comedy film auteur Judd Apatow (ever hear of The 40-Year-Old Virgin?), seeking some words of wisdom for the job ahead.

What Franco got instead were wise-ass words, but what do you expect in a Funny or Die video? Among Apatow's suggestions … well, see for yourself. (Warning: Their conversation contains sexual references.)

The 83rd annual Academy Awards will air live Sunday, Feb. 27, at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) on ABC from Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.
