Wyclef Jean asked for help, and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is extending its collective hand.

The group, which is behind this Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, announced Thursday that it is assisting in the rescue and relief effort now taking place in Haiti, which was devastated Tuesday by a 7.0 earthquake.

In its statement, the organization said, "The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is announcing at the Golden Globes that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Foundation is donating $100,000 to Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti relief fund for the victims of the Haiti earthquake."

Also supporting the nation hit by disaster are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, whose foundation on Wednesday committed $1 million in relief.
