"Shiny skin is better – it looks younger, more youthful altogether," says The Core Club esthetician and Sava Spa owner Joanna Czech, who works with stars like Kyra Sedgwick. "Matte is not alive. Matte may be good for a photo shoot, but not for real life," she explains. One way to give a softer finish is to skip powder, which can highlight fine lines.
