CREATE A BASE

Foundation might give skin an even finish, but as women with lines know, it can also have age-enhancing drawbacks. "I recommend using a powder foundation with matte finish rather than liquid foundation," says makeup artist Jackie Gomez, whose top choice is Elizabeth Arden Pure Mineral Powder Foundation. Why powder? "The reason [is] that liquid foundations tend to settle and crease when applied over wrinkles."
