One little-known secret to choosing the best self-tanner is to avoid brands with high alcohol content, which hastens drying. "Self-tanners with slightly longer drying time give you a chance to work them in and prevent streaking," says celebrity makeup artist and DuWop Cosmetics co-founder Cristina Bartolucci.
