TO CUT OR NOT TO CUT?

Stars like Demi Moore are defying the convention that women over 40 should cut their long hair. "Adventure at every age is important, and getting good hair is an easy step," says Marco Santini, co-owner and stylist at ION Studio in Manhattan. "If you have beautiful and shiny hair as you age, keep it at a length that keeps it looking healthy." Or if you feel like a change, cut away. "At every age," he says, "it's good to have a strong hairstylist to help you take an adventure into transformation that's appropriate for you."
