Filling in some details of the timeline of Whitney Houston’s death, Beverly Hills police said Monday the singer was discovered on Saturday by “a member of her personal staff” in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton suite.

“She was underwater and apparently unconscious,” says a police statement. “Ms. Houston was pulled from the tub by members of her staff and hotel security was promptly notified.”

The singer was found at 3:25 p.m., and Fire Department personnel and hotel security responded and found Houston “to still be unconscious and unresponsive,” says the police statement.

“They initiated CPR, but were unable to revive her,” says the statement. “At approximately 3:55 pm. Whitney Houston, age 48, was pronounced dead at the scene.”
