Everything in country is big, from the hair to the trucks to the personalities. It’s no surprise, then, that on country’s biggest night, the good times kept rolling even after hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley delivered their final punch lines at Wednesday’s CMA Awards.
So how did Nashville’s finest celebrate when they filed out of Bridgestone Arena?
Country heavyweights like Pinnacle Award winner Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw (who both earned accolades for their hit “Highway Don’t Care”) partied with their industry peers – including James Young, Mike Eli, Jon Jones, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Thompson, Jay DeMarcus, Reid Perry, Neil Perry, Kimberly Perry, Scott Borchetta, Danielle Bradbery, Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn and Laura Bell Bundy – at Big Machine Label Group’s CMAs afterparty (pictured above).
But Jake Owen’s post-show celebration was more sticky than star-studded. After presenting at the show – and admittedly enjoying an adult beverage – he headed to a nearby Waffle House. “Perfect end to a #cmaawards night,” he wrote. “Who’s hungry? #dayinthelife.”
And Kellie Pickler had some very, very special company after presenting at Wednesday’s show.
“#CMA after party…at home w/my pup Peanut…#PartyAnimals LOL!,” she wrote on Twitter, sharing a snapshot of her dog.

That gives new meaning to “party animal,” eh?
