It’s not just great to be nominated – you’ve also got to be invited!
As Hollywood pulls out all the stops for Emmy parties this weekend, here’s an inside look at how TV’s biggest stars will be kicking up their designer heels after the show:
ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT & PEOPLE MAGAZINE
After rolling up in chauffeured Audis, hosts Heidi Klum and Ryan Seacrest, plus everyone’s favorite TV assistant America Ferrera, will enjoy a night of modern glam at the Walt Disney Concert Hall complete with an Andy Warhol-inspired dessert hall filled with neon-colored cupcakes. As the Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut champagne flows and guests dine on delicacies from Patina owner and chef Joachim Splichal, rock legend Billy Idol will take the stage. Along with the sound of “White Wedding” ringing in their ears, guests will take away Cole Haan gift bags.
The L.A. Convention Center will be dressed to the nines with 312 crystal chandeliers and walls draped to look like the night sky. Topping off a decadent three-course meal (King crab and New York strip steak), guests can cool off at the 45-man bar with the night’s signature Grey Goose “Emmy Jubilee” cocktail or a glass of the Georges de Latour Cabernet, a White House favorite.
Inspired by the Japanese theme of new hotspot The Kress, designers created a wonderland filled with 20-foot cherry blossom trees and koi ponds. With Lindsay Lohan’s pal Samantha Ronson at the turntables, expect to see the Mad Men cast and Eva Longoria Parker chilling beneath the thousand-origami crane centerpiece.
The Entourage cast will spice things up at the Pacific Design Center, filling up on Wolfgang Puck’s San Paulo Paella and a mango peach Belvedere Brazilian cocktail.
Sure to keep the room in stitches, nominees Sarah Silverman, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert will take center stage at eatery STK.
And if one night of partying just isn’t enough, some stars will be attending these pre-show bashes on Saturday:
THE EVENING BEFORE PARTY
Raising money for the Motion Picture & Television Fund, the party prides itself on having a “living room” atmosphere where the industry’s biggest names like co-hosts Jeffrey Katzenberg, Patrick Dempsey and Tina Fey can play trivia games and check out Target place settings and Sprint phones.
BAFTA/LA TV Party: Brit phenom Ricky Gervais, along with American favorites Kristen Bell and Kathy Griffin, will enjoy tea and scones at the Intercontinental Hotel for the 6th annual shindig.
