A Petty Romance and a Heartbreak

There have been some decidedly mixed blessings for the rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. First, the good news. Frontman Tom Petty, 50, who wed his longtime girlfriend, Dana York, 37, on June 3 in Las Vegas, went through the ceremony all over again at their Malibu home on June 21, reports USA Today. Rock legend and ordained minister Little Richard, 68, officiated at the second wedding, which also included about 40 guests.

Tom Petty, 51, quietly married his longtime girlfriend, Dana York, age unreported, on June 3 in Las Vegas, says The ceremony reportedly followed a two-night sold-out stand in the town by Petty’s group, the Heartbreakers, and was attended by family members and close friends – who then went on to enjoy a hearty steak dinner. The marriage was the second for Petty, who has two daughters from his first marriage.
