After a tumultuous season of rivalries on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, John Rich and Marlee Matlin proved a harmonious final pairing.

Just before the final decision was announced on Sunday night – the final challenge had involved promoting a brand of soda – the pair performed a song, “For the Kids,” which Rich sang and Matlin, who is deaf, signed.

Marlee Matlin & John Rich: Too Nice to Fight on Celebrity Apprentice?

Perhaps surprisingly, the two calmest of this season’s contestants – Marlee Matlin and John Rich – ended up making it to the finale of Celebrity Apprentice, which will air on NBC Sunday night.

Unlike others who went before them, the Oscar-winning Matlin, 45, and country music’s Rich, 37, never locked horns with others, as did Meat Loaf with Gary Busey, and Star Jones with NeNe Leakes.

Marlee Matlin Is Paying $50,000 in Back Taxes

Marlee Matlin is proving she has a head for business as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice this season. But like many Americans, the actress has been affected by the economy and the recession.

Matlin, 45, confirms to PEOPLE that she owes $50,000 in back taxes from 2009, and is working out a schedule to make good on her commitment to the IRS.

Marlee Matlin Wings into Red Cross

Will NBC’s “The West Wing” soon require a major wardrobe change to accommodate the expanding tummy of Marlee Matlin, who plays Joey Lucas on the hit political series? The actress, in Washington D.C., to help announce a new American Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet, admitted, when asked about the flowered shirt bulging slightly beneath her black pants suit, that she is expecting baby No. 3. “I haven’t announced it yet,” Matlin, 36, told PEOPLE. Her due date is “in July,” she said.
