Sheryl Crow: My Famous Ex-Boyfriends Made Me Feel 'Smaller'

Sheryl Crow hasn’t given up on finding “the one” – though when she does, she may not meet him at the altar.

“Hey, I would love to get married – I’m still old-fashioned. But I don’t think marriage is the be-all-and-end-all,” the nine-time Grammy winner, 52, says in August’s Good Housekeeping. “It’s better to have three broken engagements than three divorces.”

Eric Clapton Plays Wedding Singer for Daughter's Big Day

Nine years ago, when daughter Ruth was 16, Eric Clapton surprised the 20 guests at her baptism when the guitar icon had the vicar turn around and, after the baptism, marry him and his girlfriend Melia McEnery.

This time, it was Ruth’s turn to surprise some assembled guests – about 150 of them.

Justin's Down-Home Holiday

It was a down-home Fourth of July weekend for Justin Timberlake, who took his sweetie, Cameron Diaz, to Memphis to see some family and, well, pay tribute to Elvis. Cameron stood by her man as he became an “ambassador of Memphis” (along with Isaac Hayes and others) Monday during the 50-year anniversary celebration of Presley’s recording of the song “That’s All Right” at famed Sun Studios. She waved at fans as Justin signed autographs, and the pair was gone before noon.

Eric Clapton Guitar Fetches Nearly $1 Mil

A guitar played for 15 years by rock legend Eric Clapton has drawn a record price of nearly $1 million, reports the Associated Press.

The Fender Stratocaster, dubbed “Blackie,” served as Clapton’s only stage and studio guitar from 1970 to 1985. Christie’s auctioned off the guitar (and 55 other Clapton instruments) late last week in a sale benefiting the Crossroads Centre in Antigua, a drug treatment center that the guitar great founded in 1998.

Clapton Slows Sex Drive

Eric Clapton’s approach to sex has changed over the years. “Once upon a time, if a girl turned on a voice in a certain way, I was gone,” the guitarist told the Telegraph of London. “Any woman with a little-girl voice and luscious body, I was butter, pure butter. But I am much stronger now.” In addition to becoming more sexually disciplined, Clapton gave up drugs and drinking long ago. He’s started a nonprofit rehab clinic called Crossroads on the Caribbean island of Antigua, where he has a home, and also works occasionally as volunteer at another clinic in London.

Clapton Guitar Sets Record

Eric Clapton parted with 100 stringed beauties Thursday, including a beloved 1956 sunburst Fender guitar he called “Brownie” that went for a record $497,500 at a charity auction. In all, the Christie’s New York sale generated $5 million for a Caribbean drug and alcohol clinic the rocker founded in 1997. The amount paid for Brownie – by an unidentified telephone bidder – surpassed the previous record paid at auction for a guitar ($320,000 for one owned by Jimi Hendrix). “I can’t believe it. I am totally overwhelmed,” Clapton said after the sale.
