A Very Brady Stage Union Complaint

Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady on the ’70s sitcom “The Brady Bunch,” filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board in Manhattan on Monday, charging Actors Equity with unfair labor practices. Williams, now 46, said that he was illegally fined $52,000 by the union in January for starring in a touring non-Equity production of “The Sound of Music.” (He played Captain Von Trapp.) The show was picketed outside several of its venues on account of Williams’s action.

Greg Brady Rides Again

Barry Williams – who played Greg Brady on the ’70s TV mainstay “The Brady Bunch” – is recording a new CD to coincide with the show’s upcoming 30th anniversary. Williams, who began his singing career even before he played Greg, is calling the project “The Return of Johnny Bravo.” That’s a reference to a “Brady” episode in which Greg gets a recording contract and wants to change his name to Johnny Bravo.
