Nikita and 24 Actress Alberta Watson Has Died

Canadian film and television actress Alberta Watson has died. She was 60.

Watson – who was best known for her role as special agent Erin Driscoll on the Fox drama 24 – died Saturday at Kensington Hospice in Toronto after a lengthy battle with cancer, her agent confirmed to PEOPLE.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the luminous Alberta Watson,” agent Pam Winter wrote in a statement. “Alberta died in the arms of her beloved [husband] Ken.”

The 24 actress, 33, gave birth to her first child with husband Stephen Full Sunday at 4:46 PM in Los Angeles.

Baby Freddie (middle name: Wersching) Full, who weighs 7 lbs., 15 oz., and is 18 inches long, is quite the stunner and shares mom’s hair. “He has a full head of hair and is very calm and sweet and adorable,” Wersching tells PEOPLE exclusively. “We are all feeling great!”

The couple married at their Los Angeles home in September 2009.
