Jane Fonda Has the Life 'So Many of Us Dream Of,' Says Sandra Bullock

The American Film Institute’s celebration of Jane Fonda was like a Who’s Who of Hollywood women.

Meryl Streep, Sally Field, Sandra Bullock, Lily Tomlin and Cameron Diaz were among the actresses saluting the 76-year-old Oscar winner, who accepted AFI’s 42nd Life Achievement Award Thursday at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

AFI Honors Hangover, Mad Men and Hurt Locker

The American Film Institute has announced its list of Top 10 movies and TV shows of 2009, offering up some surprises in the process. Then again, few are disputing that The Hangover may be one of the funniest movies ever made.

With that in mind, AFI honors on the big screen went to Coraline, The Hangover, The Hurt Locker, The Messenger, Precious, A Serious Man, A Single Man, Sugar, Up and Up in the Air.
