Chris Squire, Co-founder of Rock Band Yes, Dies at 67 After Leukemia Battle

Chris Squire, bass guitarist and co-founder of progressive British rock band Yes passed away on Saturday evening in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 67 after battling leukemia.

Keyboardist Geoffrey Downes, a member of the group and also known as half of The Buggles, was the first to break the news on Sunday.

“Utterly devastated beyond words to have to report the sad news of the passing of my dear friend, bandmate and inspiration Chris Squire,” Downes wrote on Twitter Sunday morning.
