Oscar-nominee Diane Lane, who is in the running as Best Actress for her role as the wayward wife in “Unfaithful,” will likely next star opposite Bruce Willis in an upcoming mystery called “Me Again,” reports Variety.
Although Lane, 37, has yet to sign on the dotted line, the trade paper says, Willis is in for sure. He’ll play a man who wakes up in a hotel room with no memory and a dead man next to him. Willis has to figure out if he’s the one who has killed the guy.
Lane, whose “Me Again” role is being kept a mystery as well, will next be seen in the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun.”
Speaking of Oscar nominees, final ballots went out Tuesday morning from the Beverly Hills headquarters of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. They must be completed and returned to the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers no later than 5 p.m. March 18.
Typically, given that this had to do with the Oscars, there was a ceremony to accompany the mailing.
Academy executive director Bruce Davis made welcoming remarks, reports Reuters, and though he did say there would be speeches, he also promised that “we’re going to get you out of here in less than four and a half hours.”
