“Never in a million years would I ever have thought that I would even sign up for one, compete in one or complete a triathlon, and it was amazing to cross that finish line,” explained Jennifer, 42.
“I didn’t place first, but I finished it and it felt amazing and I was so proud of myself,” added Chelsea, 28, who has since registered for her first half-marathon in Raleigh, N.C.
Both women were eliminated from the show on Tuesday, and now that they’re home they admit that things have definitely changed, but for the better.
“It’s been awesome and I actually came home, and my boyfriend – while I was gone, he lost 30 lbs. and he’s been keeping that up and working really hard and going through this process with me since I’ve been home. I’ve also got my mom and my stepdad working out and going to the gym. It’s great to see how much I’ve motivated [my mom] and family and friends,” explained Chelsea.
Jennifer says she has a whole new family.
“I have just kind of taught my family what I had learned, and we are doing fantastic. My daughter [Kayla] has lost almost 30 lbs. and my husband has lost almost 50 and we are in this together. So, I mean, it is the best feeling in the world. I am so blessed.”
