Cirque Du Soleil Performer Killed in Fall During Show

Cirque Du Soleil performer Sarah (Sassoon) Guyard died after falling 50 feet during a performance in Las Vegas Saturday night.

The incident occurred at MGM Grand’s Ka, the same evening the company celebrated the opening on its 8th Vegas show, Michael Jackson ONE.

In a statement released by a spokesperson, the performance organization, saying, “The entire Cirque du Soleil family is deeply saddened by the accidental death,” also said, “The artist s immediate family has been informed of the accident. Our thoughts are with her family and the entire Cirque du Soleil family.”

Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, in his own statement, added: “I am heartbroken. I wish to extend my sincerest sympathies to the family. We are all completely devastated with this news.”
