Safe and sound … and homeward bound.

Heidi Klum and her family arrived back in Los Angeles on Monday after an exciting end to their vacation to Hawaii.

Perched on the back of a golf cart, Klum, 39 and her oldest son, Henry, 7, looked happy to be home, especially after a trip to a Hawaiian beach turned dangerous.

On Sunday, Henry and two nannies got sucked into a riptide while swimming. Klum and her boyfriend Martin Kirsten were able to rescue the group.

In a statement, Klum explained the harrowing scene: “We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water,” she said.

“Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely.”
