Amanda Bynes’s legal problems are getting worse.
The actress, 26, has been charged with two counts of hit-and-run relating to alleged incidents in April and August, a spokesperson for the L.A. City Attorney’s Office tells PEOPLE.
TMZ reported that on April 10, the actress, driving a rental car, slammed into a vehicle on an L.A. freeway and fled the scene, according to the alleged victim. On Aug. 4, a different woman claimed Bynes, driving a BMW this time, rear-ended her and drove off without exchanging information, according to a report at the time.
Bynes faces up to one year in jail if convicted on both of the misdemeanor counts. Her arraignment is scheduled at a Van Nuys, Calif., courthouse on Sept. 27. Her attorney did not immediately return a request for comment.
This is her second round of charges.
“I don’t drink,” she wrote at the time in a Tweet to the Barack Obama presidential campaign. “Please fire the cop who arrested me.”
