Kelly Clarkson wants results!

After both her Duets partners, Jordan Meredith and Jason Farol, ended up in the bottom last week, Clarkson is determined to show improvement when the competition returns Thursday (8 p.m. ET) to ABC.

“I’m going to be really blunt with you,” Clarkson says in a clip of the upcoming episode. “I think everybody else has way more experience. And it shows because when they’re out on stage they’re into it and they’re not nervous.”

As part of her strategy, she’s switching up the song style for Jordan, who performed Clarkson’s hit “Stronger” in the premiere.

“ ‘Stronger’ is not really a duet, it’s an anthem. Jordan has this thing where she’s just very soulful, so she didn’t really get enough moments to shine and show what she’s really capable of because it’s an anthem.”

After hearing her sing a new song, Clarkson tells her partner, “This ain’t sweet. It’s miserable … [pretend] you’re a big giant black woman that sings amazing!”

Although Jordan does well with the new tune, she’s still not completely confident. “There are really high notes I have to hit and if my nerves get the best of me, it’s going to crash,” she says. “I think I’m just nervous and I can’t let it go because I know there’s a lot on the line.”
