Caught in the Act!

• Britney Spears, celebrating the birthday of stylist-to-the-stars Kim Vo's right-hand man, Marco D'Angelo, at Sur restaurant in West Hollywood. Spears was the first of the group to arrive, and she retreated to the back bar as her security team swept the area. "She was just leaning against the bar trying to unwind," an onlooker says. "She laughed really loud at a friend's joke, but mostly she was pretty quiet." Before the entire group arrived, three of the pop star's fans managed to get past security and run up to the singer and her entourage (including her manager and assistant). But the attention caused Spears to flee to the adjacent room. Once at her table with the party, though, things mellowed out. The onlooker tells us, "Britney seemed really relaxed."

• Johnny Depp, sharing a father-daughter date with Lily-Rose, 9, at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. When the pair entered the room, everybody got quiet before patrons began gossiping about the celebrity among them. Depp didn't seem to mind, either. He was playful with his daughter, in an adorable pink dress, smiling and whispering with her when she noticed people were staring.

• Prince, hanging out in the green room backstage at the House of Blues in Las Vegas for rapper Q-Tip's show, before joining him onstage to perform "Vivrant Thing."

• Tobey Maguire, dressed casually, but limping after dining at Santa Monica's Real Food Daily, an organic, vegan restaurant, with a group.

• Still acting like newlyweds, Eli Manning and wife Abby McGrew stopped by Koi New York for a romantic dinner. "The two sat close and paid a lot of attention to each other," says a source. Showing off a Super Bowl-worthy appetite, they shared crispy rice, yellowtail tartare, potstickers and lobster spring rolls.

• Also grabbing some sushi: Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly, stepping out for a quick dinner at Katsuya Brentwood. The two shared a large table in the middle of the room, sitting side-by-side, very closely on a couch.
