Mindy McCready is a free woman, just in time for 2008.
The troubled country singer was released from jail on Sunday, after she was sentenced in September for violating probation from a 2004 drug arrest, Nashville’s WKRN-TV reports.
McCready was busted earlier this year on charges of resisting arrest and battery after an argument with her mother.
“I’m so happy to be out,” McCready, 32, said after her 9 a.m. release. “I’m the happiest girl in the world right now.”
In addition to her time at Williamson County jail, McCready will spend the next two years on probation.
According to WKRN, McCready said she’s looking forward to restarting her career and visiting her baby boy, Zander, who has been staying with her mother in Florida.
“I’m going to work, work, work and sing, and I’m going to see my son who I miss more than you could possibly imagine,” she said.
